Enjoying the bountiful plate

As we sit down to feast with friends and family this holiday, I want to ask you all to pause before diving into that colorful plate in front of you and appreciate the diversity of foods at the table.

Turkey is just turkey on any other day.

 364 days of the year most of us steer clear of the canned cranberry sauce.

But what makes this day's cuisine so special is the variety of flavors, each adding some element to the other, and all incomplete without their compliments.

As we move into this season of gratitude, let's try to carry with us an appreciation for all of the ways diversity brings something special to each of our bountiful tables.
